Upper York Creek Ecosystem Restoration

Upper York Creek Ecosystem Restoration

Work included removing the 100 year old York Creek Dam, working within naturally occurring asbestos areas and removing over 20,000cy of sediment. Log structures were installed in the creek as sediment traps to create steelhead spawning habitat. A creek bypass system was installed for creek dewatering to facilitate all construction. Due to the dam being removed, an extensive fish ladder was installed.
