Project Scope:
- Excavation and construction of backwater alcoves to enhance aquatic habitat.
- Construction of side channels connecting the main channel to Dry Creek's floodplain.
- Streambank stabilization and riparian revegetation to improve long-term erosion control.
- Installation of sheet piling, cofferdams, and turbidity curtains to facilitate fish exclusion and maintain water quality during construction.
- Excavation and grading of approximately 20,000 cubic yards of channel material.

The ecological habitat restoration project was a project on Dry Creek, in Sonoma County, California. In partnership with USACE and Sonoma Water Agency, McCullough Construction completed in-stream restoration that involved excavation of in-stream channels, installation of large wood structures, building bank stabilization structures, installing boulders, and planting native seeds and plants to restore the riparian ecosyWork included the installation of habitat enhancement and stream stabilization structures using logs and boulders, in-stream restoration, driving logs to secure structural elements, riffle construction, riparian revegetation, and streambank stabilization. Heavy equipment utilized included graders, dozers, and excavators equipped with advanced GPS grade-control technology to ensure precise excavation and grading.stem.
