McCullough Construction, Inc. is the prime contractor for a mitigation project that has two jobsites in Crescent City, CA. This project is owned by the Border Coast Regional Airport Authority. Bay Meadows is located northwest of the intersection of Lake Earl Drive and Blackwell Lane, and Pacific Shores is located off of Kellogg Road to the north, west of Lake Earl, and south of Tolowa Dunes State Park.
Bay Meadows portion of this project will consist of construction of wetland and environmental habitat improvements to mitigate impacts resulting from airport improvements at the Jack McNamara Airport. Specific work will include but is not limited to grubbing, grading, and planting.
The Pacific Shores portion of the project will consist of wetland and environmental habitat improvements. Specific work will include but is not limited to: salvaging and replanting Oregon Silverspot Butterfly host plants; salvaging and replanting rare plants; removal of foreign trash and debris; removing various invasive vegetation species; re-vegetating with native species to re-establish wetland habitat; enhancing upland dune habitat; and installing natural road barriers at the terminus of newly re-established wetland and upland habitats.
